Welcome to Pickleball Weymouth, where the historic charm of Weymouth, Massachusetts, meets the lively world of pickleball! This coastal town, one of the first in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, now serves as a hub for pickleball enthusiasts. With its rich past, including being the birthplace of Abigail Adams and a notable shipbuilding center, Weymouth has always been a place of gathering and community. Today, Pickleball Weymouth continues that tradition by offering residents and visitors alike a chance to enjoy one of America's fastest-growing sports right in the heart of a town known for its deep roots and unique contributions to American history.

Pickleball in Weymouth, Massachusetts

Weymouth has two distinct ways to play in town. Weymouth Club offers the fullest schedule, with climate controlled courts, outdoor courts, lessons, leveled drop-in sessions, round robins, and court rentals. The Whipple Senior Center adds a free seasonal session for older adults. Players who want regular organized play or an indoor option will find the most choice at Weymouth Club, while the senior center is a friendly local setting for its participants.

Where to Play Pickleball in Weymouth

Weymouth Club, 75 Finnell Drive, is the city's main pickleball facility. It has climate controlled courts as well as outdoor courts, which makes it useful throughout the year. Players can reserve a court with their own group, register for leveled drop-in play, take a clinic, arrange a private lesson, or join a round robin. Members can reserve courts farther in advance, while nonmembers can make same day court reservations. Paddles are available to rent.

Whipple Senior Center, in the John F. McCulloch Building at 182 Green Street, offers seasonal pickleball for senior center participants. The session is free and gives older adults a local option outside the private club setting.

Pickleball Lessons and Beginner Play

New players can start with a beginner clinic at Weymouth Club. The introductory curriculum covers serves, returns, groundstrokes, volleys, dinks, scoring, rules, and court etiquette. Classes are grouped by level, beginning with 1.0 to 2.0 sessions and continuing through advanced beginner and intermediate instruction. That structure lets a first time player learn the rules before moving into faster group play.

The club's current program also includes skills and drills for experienced players, private lessons for individual attention, cardio pickleball, and junior pickleball. Once a beginner understands scoring and positioning, a leveled drop-in session is a natural place to meet other players at a similar stage. Local instructors who offer independent coaching can also be found in our pickleball coaches directory.

Open Play, Round Robins, and Recurring Programs

Weymouth Club runs weekly leveled drop-in sessions for members and nonmembers. Registration is required, and players choose a session that fits their rating. These sessions are a good fit for someone who wants organized games without assembling a four person group. The club also schedules round robins for intermediate and advanced players, giving participants a rotating set of opponents during a defined time block.

The September and October 2026 program includes beginner and intermediate clinics on weekdays and weekends, intermediate round robins on Wednesday and Friday mornings, a Saturday cardio pickleball class, and a Saturday junior program. The range of morning, evening, and weekend offerings makes the club workable for retirees, weekday players, and people fitting pickleball around work.

At Whipple Senior Center, seasonal pickleball is scheduled on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. The session is free and is designed for the senior center community. Because this is a seasonal activity, its place on the center calendar can change during the year.

Visiting Weymouth and Want to Play?

If you are traveling alone, register for a leveled drop-in at Weymouth Club. Members and nonmembers can participate, so you can join the organized group without bringing partners. Choose a session for your rating and rent a paddle if you did not travel with one.

Visitors arriving with other players can make a same day nonmember court reservation at Weymouth Club. The indoor courts are especially useful in winter or wet weather, while the outdoor courts provide another choice in good conditions. Whipple Senior Center is better suited to eligible participants seeking its free Tuesday morning community session than to travelers looking for an on demand court.
